Silly cousins!

Blake and Michaela were "dolled" up by cousin Jenna on the night before Thanksgiving. Michaela kept her "do" up, even during our Biddle game!

King of the Hill Tournament

Blake's underdog team won their first round of the tournament 2-1 on Sat. Blake scored the winning goal! Garrett's favored team lost their 2nd round tournament game today 4-2. Garrett scored one of the two goals and provided leadership in the middle of the field each quarter. He played another game right after that with his Select team, which they tied. I get tired just watching! Austin participated in his last Cross Country meet this past week and scored in the top 1/3. Santa came early to our house with a new digital camera! This picture of Blake doing the corner kick is taken with the new camera. Posted by Picasa

Jenna's Grandparent Birthday Dinner

In our home, we have a tradition of inviting the grandparents (grandma Giboney and grandma and grandpa Wall) to share in a special dinner in honor of our girls' (and our!) birthdays. Since on Jenna's actual birthday (November 20), Paula Giboney is scheduled for her C-section with baby girl #3, we decided to celebrate a week early.

Weekend

Austin (and Jenna, of course) went with the Conejo C of C to Impact, the only JR High retreat for C of C in So Cal. They all met at Conejo on Friday at noonish and went somewhere in the Angeles Forest. The report on Sunday was that they all had a great time, but it was cold up there!
Back home, Garrett and Blake had their final weekend of regular season soccer games. Blake's underdog team won 2-1 with Blake's two goals! Garrett's team lost 2-1 in the 4th quarter in a really hard-fought game for 4th place in their age bracket. King of the Hill tournament begins next weekend. On Friday, Jessica joined Garrett and Blake (and Mike and Phyllis) for an afternoon at Six Flags. The highlight of that afternoon was riding Tatsu at sunset : ) and riding Scream at night in the very front : ) Jessica had not ridden those rides before, and she was thrilled with them! Isn't cousin time the best?? We joined Andy, Carrie and Michaela for dinner at BJ's after our adventure for a YUMMY meal! We have to try making some pizoolies when we are all together at Christmas!
Can't wait for more cousin time!

Blackberry

So cute!

Our hamster, Blackberry, was a nut. She died on September 13, 2006. We all loved her. Here are some of the hilarious pictures we have of her.

Enjoy!

First Day of School

A cute trio

Here are a few pics of the First Day of School. We were all really excited. Our year has been wonderful so far and our teachers have been great! We can't wait to find out what's awaiting us.

Our family decided to go to a Dodger Game one Friday night with our church. There was an awesome firework show and the Dodgers won-yipee! You can tell we all had a great time.

soccer games

Another Saturday, some more soccer games! Blake's team hasn't really been able to put together all the skills they've learned - they did some nice passing in the first half, but they got beaten in the 2nd half, with the final score being 4-0. Blake had 2 shots on goal that missed by inches!! Grandma and Grandpa were there cheering him on! Garrett's team dominated their game with Garrett scoring 2 of their 8 goals. G & G enjoyed a little shade under a tree while cheering Garrett on. We also did some surfing on the web to try to find more beach house options, with no luck. I would love to hear what each family hopes to do while we are together -- I know we just want to hang out, but, is Andy preaching on Dec 31? Is there a consensus to go to an amusement park? Be thinking and sharing ideas....

I'm going to try this again. Hopefully it will let me put up more than one picture. Here are a few pics from our girls, taken before our Harvest Festival. I don't think we had 1,000 attend but we had a number of families from the neighborhood school come who are part of our tutoring program.
