Blake is 10!

Blake is now in the double digits! This 10-year old has spent the month celebrating his birthday : )

Framing Done!

Maybe it will quiet down around here now that the framing is done??

VBS

Our theme this year was SonForce Kids-Special Agents. The adventure and mystery flavor of this theme was very fun for the Thomas boys. Garrett's picture was a prop one day - and it got a disguise!

Finger points to God

Garrett and Jessica made this as a reminder to always direct our lives to God.

Pictures from the beach

Camping at Leo Carillo

What a great way to start our summer vacation! Camping at the beach with the cousins- yah! We had fun digging at the beach, making an Aztec temple, climbing on rocks, burying cousins in the sand, boogie boarding, hiking (Mike and Austin did the Super Hike) and eating poogie pies, smores, pancakes, spaghetti, and tacos. We look forward to having all the Wall cousins together in just a few weeks!

Happy Father's Day

Thank you, dads, for being the leaders, providers, and examples that you are. We love you and honor you!

Happy Father's Day dad!

Dad,

I can't call you yet, but wanted to let you know I'm thanking God for you--even as I think of you today. I'm glad to have you in my life and can't wait to see you in a few weeks and the beautiful growth of God's working through you and mom.

Pray for me today as I teach about 30 teens at YouthWAVE. I'm really missing my family this am as I'm in Dallas & they're in Odessa.

Love you! bw

Bring on Summer!

Since we didn't get any of Jenna's apple pie, Austin helped make apricot/pineapple cobler. Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for the appricots from their tree!

Jessica's Culmination

Jessica graduated, and is now a middle schooler. After trying out and getting the class speech, Jessica successfully delivered it with a smile on her face. Tallest in the grade, Jessica lead the processional and was the "pace-setter" When the culmination was finished, Jessica and the Silly Six went to Paradise Cove to celebrate. They are so ready for new challenges ahead!

Summer is Officially Here

It's official - summer's here!

How do I know this? Several reasons (see below):

1) Jenna had time to bake an apple pie for us (yum!)

2) We've been in the pool every night this week.

3) Temperatures are hoving between 90 and 100.

4) We're firing up the ole' BBQ!

Just a few weeks till Lake Brownwood! We can't wait!

Garrett finishes grade school

Garrett got "duded up" for the "graduation" ceremony at Dapplegray today. He looked great! He's ready for summer, so we went to In-N-Out after the ceremony!

Austin Graduates

Austin graduated from 8th grade with many honors. He received an honor for graduating with a cumulative 4.0 GPA, and he received Outstanding Achievement awards from his teachers in Social Studies, Language Arts - Accel, and Science - Accel. It's not clear how the teachers selected the students for these awards, I confess, but each teacher selected several kids.... We were delighted that Grandma and Grandpa joined us in the warm afternoon sun for this lovely event! We celebrated at Mac Grill afterwards : )

Catalina

Garrett went to Catalina on Tues with all the 5th graders at his school. We competed with a couple dozen teams in an Amazing Race! This is our team - we placed 3rd and had a great time RUNNING around Avalon.

Mother's Day

OK, so this is a bit belated. It was a sweet Mother's Day nonetheless.

Here is Grandma Giboney and a bunch of her descendants.

Paul and Jenna

Four cousins with Webkins buddies

Fun with Old Friends

Last Saturday, the girls enjoyed a visit with some old friends from the Costa Mesa Church. Holly Luttrell, Melita and Bethany Sutherland were in the area and the girls enjoyed putting on a little wedding play for us. As you can see, Michaela performed the nuptuals.

End of Volleyball Season

Jenna, Jessica and I completed our volleyball season last Saturday with a come-from-behind victory against a good team. Jenna had two hard overhead serves that got our comeback rally going. Jessica overcame early frustrations to have a great game. It was the first time I've gotten to coach two of our girls on the same team. Very fun!

Lake Pix

I love sunsets at Lake Brownwood. Here are some pix of the lake house...

Chicken Little

When the Giboney's were in town we hosted our small group at our house. Anna, an experienced baseball player, took time to help Elijah take some batting practice. Who does he look like?

Sweet Tickles

ok, Olivia is really fun to tickle. She just cackles and cackles when she gets on a roll. She likes zerbers too!

Fun pix

Ok sis, here are more pix of the kids. We can't wait for you to be on the receiving end of Elijah's kisses! He's sure at a fun age (and has put 3 "poo-poo's" in the potty this weekend!!!)
