Olivia's Mess: Part 1

Olivia decided to try her skills in the kitchen this morning while Trisha was
getting on her makeup. She thought she'd start with a little raspberry
jello.

Part 2: Olivia's mess

All by herself!!!

She apparently went to the pantry and found some jello. She found a pair of scissors and cut open the bag of jello. She dumped the jello out into her eating tray. She then found a bottle of water and poured that into the trey and then mixed it all up.

Fortunately, she was unable to open the red koolaid she found and brought it to Mom to help.

Medal winning PV Gunners!

Thank you grandma and grandpa for coming to Garrett and Blake's REALLY HOT soccer games this weekend! Record breaking heat made for an interesting challenge to our soccer players! Blake's young team played with heart, but lost all 3 of their games on Saturday. They did not advance to Sunday's games. Garrett's team won all 3 of their games on Saturday and advanced to Sunday's games. They won the 8 a.m. game to advance to the quarter finals, but lost that in a test of endurance and heat tolerance to a strong team from Downey. The boys did a great job and played well considering the HEAT!

Soccer games

Garrett and Blake had soccer games at the exact same time on Sunday - 3 p.m. Thankfully, they are playing on adjacent fields this year, so we stood/sat in the middle and tried to catch the action from there. Both teams won! Garrett scored first for his team in the first quarter, and then put a nice left footed one in during the 3rd or 4th quarter. They won 5 to 1. Blake played keeper the first half and kept all balls out of the goal, and then sparked his way into the midfield during the second half, which is when they scored. They won 3 to 0. A very nice conclusion to our Spring Break!

Blake found out this week that he gets to play the lead role of "father" in the 5th grade play about immigration at his school. This is the same role that Austin and Garrett each were in this same play!! "Father" has 3 singing solos, so we look forward to hearing Blake sing : ) Ah, tradition...

Balderdash

Wish I had a picture of the Balderdash board from our game last night! The winner might surprise you! Of course, Grandpa and Austin were formidable opponents and lead most of the way, and Garrett, who is also good with words got a late start in the game, but it was Blake who ended up victorious in the end! He thanks Grandma for guessing his definition on many opportunities : ) It was very fun to be in Fillmore with G & G!
