"Irvine Meadows" Amphitheatre was a great venue
The Thomas family joined a group from Conejo C of C for the Switchfoot concert Friday night. WOW, was it GREAT!!! We missed Jenna who is at Pismo Beach w/ the Youth Group. Good stuff : )
Much to Austin's delight, we surprised him with a money tree for his b-day! He realizes this driving thing is going to take a lot of the green stuff!!
Wish grandpa was here to help us eat this yummy carrot cake!!! We had two different groups over on Saturday to help eat this huge cake, and we still have some left in the fridge! Austin is 16 today - I remember getting my driver's licence on my b-day, thanks to mom and dad and the le-bomba Pontiac : ) With all the new rules teens have now to get their licence, Austin won't be able to get his licence until next month. They have to have their permit for a minimum of 6 months and have documented 50 hours of driving time (10 of those hours at night, which is tough to do!) He'll be ready next month.
Can't believe how these guys just keep growing! Can't keep enough milk in the house!! Austin is taller than me now, and Garrett is at eye level. And, Blake is in middle school...
Every year, usually around Austin's b-day, the Concourse D'Elegance comes to town. This year it was held at the Trump Golf Course, overlooking the ocean. It was a lovely day to look at these amazing classic cars! Mike, Bruce and Austin enjoyed it very much!

Wow - Garrett is 13! A teenager! His birthday dinner included: baked beans, corn, rolls, b-b-q meat (from Lucilles) with sauce. Cake was Mary's (Biggers) chocolate cake. SO YUM!!!
Mike finished installing the landscape lights this weekend, and I finished planting flowers and mulching. The front of the house is done (except for the Tiny Tower that needs to go into the ground), so now we are on to the next project. Does it ever end???

Old pro at Cotillion!
What fun to have two boys in Cotillion this year! I spend all my time driving them up there and back, as their times barely overlap. We had a post-Cotillion party at our house tonight, so we had a few extra guys around.
Can't believe Blake is in 6th grade and Garrett is in 7th! Austin left the house at 6:35 a.m. (ack) for zero period, so, no pic of him!!!
Every year, our church has what we call the sycamore canyon bike and hike. We enjoy a 9 mile downhill bike to the beach where we play in the sand and relax. It was a fun day for all!
