Bryce Canyon

On our drive home from Colorado, we stopped to visit two spectacular national parks: Bryce Canyon and Zion. Wow! Breathtaking, geologically fascinating, worth-the-drive visits.

Navajo Trail
One of our trip highlights was getting to hike
down the Navajo Trail at Sunset Point, an easy
1 mile loop. The colors were so orange and red
they looked postcard-fake.

That's some orange!

Overlooking Bryce Amphitheater
The rock outcroppings you see are called
Hoodoos and result from the natural process
of erosion; someday they will be complete
eroded away.

It was actually rather nice temperature wise. I loved the hoodoos- they almost looked like Disney had created Thunder Mountain all over again, at least in Utah!
