Germany

Castle Eltz is one of the oldest and best privately owned castles in Europe. We took an interesting tour with a group of English school girls, so it was fun listening to their accents.
The Porche factory museum was very small, but Blake got to see his favorite: a Porche Carrera GT (a new museum is under construction).
We enjoyed the charming, typically Bavarian town of Murren. Dinner included sausages and schnitzels (do you remember schnitzel Andy? what about applesauft?)
Neuschwanstein castle is much newer than Eltz castle (by 300-400 years), but it is still my favorite. Built by "mad" King Ludwig in honor of Richard Wagner and his music, the attention to detail is superb. It was never completed after Ludwig's mysterious death.
This view is from a bridge above the castle that offers splendid views of the entire valley.
We all took rides on the Tegelberg Luge, close to Neuschwanstein (Austin flying down)
Garrett and Blake speeding down

Of course I remember snitchel und apfelsaft! Sehr gut! Neuchwanstein looks just as I remember it, except on my visit (in January of 1983) it was covered in snow.
