We left Paris in our compact Opal Zephira. It was comfy, efficient, and held us all! Mike enjoyed driving with a stick shift, especially on the Autobaun and in Switzerland.
Austin's request for this trip was to visit the Nurburgring test track in Germany. They test new cars here, and he took many pictures of fast cars with black masking on them (so we don't know what car is being tested). Wish we could include the sound here - it was VERY impressive to hear these amazing cars blow past this point - probably in excess of 250 km/hr!
At 5:45 p.m. the Nurburgring North track opens to the public (for a fee). Enthusiasts bring their exotic sports cars here, but we weren't allowed to take our rented Opal on the track. Austin REALLY wanted to ride around this track, and after asking several drivers if they would take a passenger, Austin found a ride in a Porche!!!
All kinds of sports cars are here to see and be seen....
When Austin got back from his exhilarating ride on the track, he was all smiles!!
