After a looooong flight to Paris, we took the subway to our apartment. This is the view of our courtyard from one of our windows.
Then, we found a little sidewalk bakery/cafe to grab a bite to eat. It was all delicious!Eating French food : )
We set off by foot to explore Paris. We walked through the grounds of the Louvre (we will visit the inside in a few days) and its gardens.Thomas family in the Louvre courtyard

We continued walking up the Champs Elysee all the way to the Arc de Triumph. There happened to be a Veteran's parade marching with us, so we had live music and colorful flags beside us!

From the top of the Arc de Triumph, we could see the Eiffel Tower.
